At this time, MW3 Season 6 will conclude, marking the end of its run as the primary Call of Duty title in Warzone.
Weapons and Systems
Warzone Season 1 will incorporate all the weapons and systems from Black Ops 6.
MW2 and MW3 Weapon Adjustments
- Visual Recoil Reduction: Modern Warfare II weapons now feature reduced visual recoil, enhancing control and shooting experience.
- Attachment Penalty Reduction: Barrel and stock attachments from Modern Warfare II have reduced penalties.
- Balancing Pass: Underbarrel and muzzle attachments from both Modern Warfare II and III have undergone significant balancing. All cons have been removed, meaning they now only provide stat boosts, with subcategories of underbarrels and muzzles differing only cosmetically. AMP attachments retain their unique functionality and balancing.
Muzzle Enhancements:
- Suppressors: Boost velocity and damage range.
- Comps: Improve recoil control.
- Flash Hiders: Increase damage range and firing aim stability.
- Breacher: Enhance melee damage and recoil control.
Underbarrel Enhancements:
- Angled Grip: Increases hipfire and tactical stance accuracy, as well as aim walking steadiness.
- Handstop: Improves sprint-to-fire and ADS speed.
- Vert Grip: Enhances recoil control and firing aim stability.
Additionally, Modern Warfare II and III weapons now feature corner-slicing functionality, adding an extra tactical edge.

Every Perk in Warzone Season 1
In the loadout screen, players can choose three Perks, one from each of the three slots: Perk 1 (Blue), Perk 2 (Red), and Perk 3 (Yellow). Unlike Black Ops 6, there is no Combat Specialty.
Here is the list of Perks available in Season 1.
Perk 1
- Reflexes: Triggered explosives delay when sprinting past them.
- Veteran: Reduces the negative effects of enemy equipment. Reduces flinching and extends Hold Breath duration while aiming down sights.
- Grenadier: Explosive damage slows enemy health regeneration and movement speed. Throw equipment further and see a preview of the trajectory.
- Dexterity: Reduced weapon motion while jumping, sliding, and diving. Less fall damage.
- Scavenger: Start with maximum reserve ammo for your primary weapon. Resupply ammo, equipment, and plates from dead enemies.
- Survivor: Health regenerates more quickly. Allies revive you faster when you’re downed.
Perk 2
- Quartermaster: Recharge equipment over time (50 seconds).
- Bomb Squad: Reduces incoming explosive and fire damage. Spots enemy equipment and Killstreaks through walls.
- Tracker: See enemy footsteps. Bullets you fire briefly mark an enemy for you and your squad. Enemies that down you are automatically pinged.
- Sprinter: Tactical Sprint indefinitely.
- Cold-Blooded: Undetectable by AI targeting and thermal optics. Prevents some enemy recon Perks and effects.
- Quick Fix: Killing enemies or inserting armor plates immediately starts health regeneration. Can insert armor plates one-handed.
Perk 3
- Gung-Ho: Reduced movement penalties when reloading or using equipment. Reload while Tac Sprinting.
- Resolute: Taking damage from gunfire provides a boost to movement speed for a short duration.
- Ghost: Undetectable by enemy Radar Pings while moving. Cannot be detected by some devices.
- Birdseye: UAVs you call in are 25% larger and show the heading of the enemy for your squad. Detects players with Ghost.
- Tempered: Refill armor plates to full with two plates instead of three.
- Alertness: Sense when enemies are nearby. Know when you are being aimed at by the enemy.

Omnimovement
One of the biggest gameplay changes coming in Season 1 is omnimovement, which is set to revolutionize Warzone just as it has multiplayer. This new movement system allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in all directions, regardless of which way they’re facing. You’ll also be able to turn 360 degrees while prone, making movements feel more natural.
Area 99 Map
Area 99 is a new Resurgence map designed by Treyarch, inspired by the iconic multiplayer map Nuketown. Although it’s not a one-to-one recreation, each POI is clearly part of building the nuclear testing ground.
Key Locations:
- Warehouse
- Loading Bay
- Manufacturing
- Bunker
- Pods
- Nuketown Shipping
- Reactor
- Cooling Towers
- Test Site
- Mannequin Assembly
Area 99 is similar in size to Rebirth Island, making it one of the smallest maps in Warzone. It hasn’t been confirmed if Rebirth will be removed to make way, but it’s expected both will be live in-game at the same time.
New BR Map in Warzone Season 1?
No new battle royale map is introduced in Warzone Season 1, so Urzikstan will remain the battleground for now. This is the first time a new big map hasn’t arrived alongside the latest CoD since Black Ops Cold War in 2020. However, the developers have confirmed that Verdansk, the OG Warzone map, will return in Spring 2025.
Mastery Camos & Classic Prestige
Season 1 marks the arrival of Mastery camos in Warzone. These challenging camos are a staple of multiplayer and now bring their grind to battle royale players.
Mastery Camos:
- Gold Tiger
- King’s Ransom
- Catalyst
- Abyss
The classic Prestige system is also coming to Warzone. This feature lets you reset your rank at Level 55, resetting your guns and unlocks as you work through them again. You earn exclusive rewards each time, and you can use a Prestige Token to keep one precious item each time you reset. Use them wisely!
Quality of Life Changes
Several smaller updates are making Warzone a smoother experience:
Quick Inventory
Black Ops 6 streamlines the inventory system, removing the current Backpack system. Instead, an inventory menu works from left to right, divided into sections.
- Cash on hand
- Gas Mask
- Armor Plates
- Killstreaks
- Field Upgrade
- Primary, Secondary, and Melee Weapons
- Ammunition for AR, SMG, Shotgun, Sniper, and Launcher
Satchels
Satchels are lootable equipment items that increase your storage capacity. You can equip both Armor Satchel and Munitions Satchel simultaneously.
- Armor Satchel: Increases Armor Plate carrying capacity.
- Munitions Satchel: Increases Ammunition capacity for AR, SMG, Shotgun, Sniper, and Launcher.
Expect even more updates leading up to the launch. Keep an eye out for the best guns in Black Ops 6 that could dominate Warzone and which items to unlock permanently with Prestige Tokens.
